Luxury charter yachts are the best way to experience the action up close and personal. Click here for information and availability on luxury charter yachts for the 2017 America’s Cup in Bermuda.
Over the years, the America’s Cup has become increasingly appealing to spectators on the water as well as ashore.
A month of sailing events includes a J Class regatta, a superyacht regatta, and the America’s Cup qualifiers and playoffs before the final Match in mid-June.
For only the second time, a full superyacht programme has been created to accompany the America’s Cup, including a regatta to entertain those visiting on sailing superyachts, and special packages including berthing close to the America’s Cup HQ in the Royal Naval Dockyard.
The best opportunity to combine luxury with the racing atmosphere is through a superyacht charter.

THE AMERICA’S CUP SUPERYACHT REGATTA

Nothing gets the pulse racing like watching superyachts battle it out on a regatta course, followed by the festive spirit of an evening’s social events where crews and owners come together.
As a part of this year’s America’s Cup programme, there is another exciting instalment of the Superyacht Regatta just ahead of the America’s Cup Match race.
Over three days, sailing legends will compete on the water for the Perpetual Cup. A new ‘Corinthian Spirit Class’ will be available to superyachts, making race preparations easier and simpler to include in an itinerary.
Already 18 yachts have registered, with regulars from the Bucket regattas and the Superyacht Cup. Set against the backdrop of pink-sand beaches and turquoise water, the America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta will be an event not to miss, whether watching or taking part.
AWAY FROM THE RACING
HAMILTON TOWN
This historical town is a hive of activities in Bermuda, with a range of cosmopolitan restaurants and shops, not to mention epicentre of the action during the America’s Cup. Head to the Swizzle Inn near the Royal Navy Dockyard to try the local favourites: the sweeter, fruity Rum Swizzle or the citrus zing of the yachtie staple, a Dark ‘n’ Stormy.
ST GEORGES TOWN
This village of thatched cottages was built by shipwrecked settlers in 1609. It is the oldest continually inhabited English-speaking community in the New World, with a replica of the Deliverance ship that brought settlers here.
PINK SAND BEACHES
The coral grains that make up Bermuda’s beaches give them a unique pinkish hue. They are to be found all around the island and lead to some spectacular snorkelling or diving spots.
