YACHTZOO expands global presence with new office in the City of London.

Expanding the company’s reach to a sixth international location, YACHTZOO today announced the opening of its new office in the heart of the City of London, alongside the appointment of prominent brokers Neil Hornsby and Amanda Armstrong.

YACHTZOO chose the office’s unique strategic position in order to become the premier superyacht brokerage company based within London’s Square Mile, placing the company front and centre in one of the world’s greatest business hubs.

Hornsby and Armstrong have a combined yachting experience of over four decades, with reputations that are globally respected within the business. Their professional approach to yacht brokerage perfectly fits with YACHTZOO’s mission to offer discreet luxury services of the highest calibre to its clients.

YACHTZOO’s global reach now includes operations in Monaco, Fort Lauderdale, Tokyo, London, Croatia and Montenegro, and New Zealand.

“The expansion to include an operation in London is a significant landmark for YACHTZOO, which this year celebrated its 10th anniversary. Having a physical presence in one of the most popular cities for our clientele will be of huge benefit to them, and the combined brokerage expertise that Amanda and Neil bring to the team is outstanding,” said YACHTZOO’s Founding Partners Paola Scalabrino, Kirsten Ringsing, Darrell Hall and Chris Richardson.

AMANDA ARMSTRONG

Having joined the yachting business in 2000, Amanda spent seven years as a charter manager before focusing on retail charter space a decade ago. This foundation gave her a remarkably rounded knowledge of the entire yacht charter process, from the perspective of charterers as well as owners and captains. Her extensive experience has provided Amanda with exposure to clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds who have interests in the full spectrum of superyachts and destinations.

“Having worked in yacht charter since the start of the market’s most rapid expansion after 2000, I have been a part of the industry’s growth and development every step of the way. I believe that clients are refocusing on seeking a more personalised service to provide a true luxury experience. Our location in the City reflects the discreet and bespoke approach for which YACHTZOO is known, said Armstrong.

NEIL HORNSBY

Neil brings with him an outstanding level of experience and success in the charter business that spans more than 25 years. He has worked with some of the biggest names in yacht brokerage, playing an instrumental role in establishing and developing their charter divisions. For the last 17 years, he has been Retail Charter Director for a leading yacht brokerage firm. Before life as a charter broker, Neil’s early career saw him working on superyachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, and subsequently as an insurance broker for Lloyd’s of London.

“Amanda and I are delighted to be welcomed into the YACHTZOO family. We have known the founding partners for many years and admire the way they have grown the brand over the last decade. The company is now established as one of the world’s leading yachting organisations, delivering a prestige service complemented by a high concentration of industry experience, which is an enviable mix for clients at the top end of the market. YACHTZOO’s vision and marketing strategy is inspiring, and the structure of the business means it can not only maintain a strong focus on clients but also adapt quickly as the industry continues to evolve.

“We are thrilled to launch YACHTZOO in the famous ‘Square Mile’ of the City of London. With our office in close proximity to the world’s premier business executives and international clientele, we are confident that YACHTZOO will quickly establish market presence and place us firmly on the map in the UK,” commented Hornsby.
