By 08/06/2015December 7th, 2020No Comments

Yachtzoo is pleased to announce the sale of the yacht NENA I.
We would like to thank our corresponding brokers who assisted in this transaction.

NENA I the first of the Akhir I I 8 foot series, built in Pisa. Her first particular among many is that in contrast to Cantieri di Pisa’s tradition, she is the first yacht to sport a metallic grey hull. NENA I is 36 metres long with a 7.5 metre beam built entirely in GRP. She is clearly inspired by the “Akhirs” of the 1970’s as recalled so aptly by the radar situated on the stern of the flying bridge and the continuity of the window panelling embedded along her black sides. Aboard there are a great many innovations to enhance lifestyle. In fact, particular emphasis was given to the lighting of every area.

Her two decks are strewn with roomy areas adorned with furniture made according to a 17th century technique in black died pear tree that is widely covered in padded leather by Cantieri di Pisa’s craftsmen. The result inevitably exalts the yacht’s classical timeless appearance. The elegant decor is embellished by a waxed finished sanded teak boiserie while panels of precious cloths ensure a warmer welcome to every room. Natural light floods the interiors due to the large window frames which can be screened off at will by sliding textile panels, instead of, the usual curtains. As befits the interior designs’ context, artificial light beams down from specific bulbs along the skylight which mix well with the elegant lampshades.

NENA I can embark on long crossings thanks to her large fuel capacity and two MTU 2,400 HP engines that at a constant speed of 12 knots can cover a 2,120 mile range. Two 55Kw Cummins onan generators certainly help and are amid the standard equipment aboard an akhir I 18 as well as a de-salinator capable of a day of 4,320 litres, and a complete air conditioning system. Stabilizers, in fact are virtually the sole extras considered by the yard.
