A new vision
The Air Yacht 80 originates from an owner’s pursuit of perfection—seeking a yacht that could combine the speed and efficiency of a world-class sailing machine with the comfort and autonomy of a superyacht. When no existing model met these expectations, the project evolved into a fully bespoke development in collaboration with Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design and a team of leading naval architects, engineers and suppliers.
The result is a yacht that feels both highly engineered and effortlessly refined—where every line, system and material has been carefully considered.
A new design
Constructed in advanced carbon fibre and epoxy, the Air Yacht 80 is remarkably lightweight at just 34 tonnes, delivering outstanding efficiency and performance under sail.
Her wave-piercing hulls and optimised rig allow her to perform in as little as 5 knots of wind, while comfortably exceeding 20 knots when conditions allow.
This is a yacht designed for serious passage-making – offering a transoceanic range of approximately 2,500 nautical miles at 7 knots under power – yet equally suited to relaxed cruising in shallow anchorages thanks to her lifting rudders and daggerboards.
Importantly, all systems have been engineered for short-handed sailing, allowing operation by just two crew without sacrificing safety or control.
Engineering & Sustainability
Beyond performance, the Air Yacht 80 integrates a forward-thinking approach to onboard technology and energy management.
A hybrid propulsion option combines diesel and electric systems, enabling silent, low-emission cruising in sensitive marine environments while providing redundancy and flexibility.
Onboard energy is supported by an extensive solar array, hydro-regeneration under sail, and a high-capacity lithium battery bank; allowing extended autonomy at sea.
From advanced navigation systems to integrated monitoring and safety features, the yacht is designed to be as intelligent as it is capable.
